House Speaker appoints business owner to Blue Cross board
PROVIDENCE, R.I. A Scituate man is joining the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Rhode Island's board of directors. House Speaker William Murphy named Thomas Falcone to a three-year term on the board.
The Speaker is entitled to make two appointments -- one this year, and one in 2005.
Murphy says Falcone will bring a small business owner's perspective to the board.
He is the president of Jefferson Financial Services, a mortgage-banking firm, which is in Cranston.
