'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' hijacks gaming awards show
LOS ANGELES Leave it to the video game industry to come up with an award show that features a giant Snoop Dogg as co-host and has a segment entitled "Hot Girls Read Cheat Codes." Spike T-V's second annual Video Game Awards took place last night in Los Angeles.
Snoop Dogg served as the host and played straight-man to a digital version of himself. The show also featured women in lingerie cooing secret video game codes.
As far as actual awards the game, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" won four times including best action game.
Samuel L. Jackson claimed the "best performance by a human male" for his role in voicing a character in the same game.
