SEATTLE Rashard Lewis scored a season-high 37 points and Ray Allen added 26 as Seattle whipped the Los Angeles Lakers 108-to-93.

Lewis scored 17 points in the first quarter and had 22 by the break to help the SuperSonics take a ten-point lead into the locker room. The Sonics went on a 17-to-5 run in the second period to go ahead 51-to-33.

The Sonics improved to 18-and-4, their best start since they opened the 1993-94 season 20-and-2.

Kobe Bryant paced the 8-and-9 Lakers with 35 points.
