Johnson and Wales seeks more land
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The relocation of Interstate 195 wonÔŅĹt be done for at least another eight years, but Johnson and Wales University already is eyeing land that will be made available by the project.
The property is about four blocks thatÔŅĹs currently underneath the highway and is the border between downtown and the Jewelry District.
Johnson and WalesÔŅĹ officials didnÔŅĹt detail their plans for the desired area at a meeting of the I-195 Redevelopment Board. The board took no action on the proposal.
