Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

WAKEFIELD, R.I. Senator Lincoln Chafee is planning a visit to South County Hospital today to take a tour and present a check.

The senator helped secure a 150,000 dollar federal appropriation to help defer the cost of a major expansion project at the hospital.

The senator says the project will allow for 60 additional beds and increase efficiency.

Chafee plans to take a tour of the facility and meet with hospital officials.
