Ukraine's parliament fails to vote on electoral reforms
KIEV, Ukraine Ukraine's parliament has adjourned after a day of angry speeches and sarcastic accusations -- but no vote on electoral reforms. The amendments are aimed at securing a fair presidential re-vote later this month.
Rival factions had reached a tentative deal to vote on the legal changes all at once. But the agreement collapsed after mediated talks between Ukraine's outgoing president and both presidential rivals.
Meanwhile, throngs of opposition protesters are continuing their third straight week of protests in a sprawling tent camp in downtown Kiev.
Parliament returns tomorrow to resume work on the electoral reforms.
