Shoppers, store workers sprayed by gunman during armored-car robbery
BURLESON, Texas Six shoppers at a Wal-Mart in Texas were hospitalized with breathing problems and another 16 treated at the scene after getting pepper-sprayed in the aisles. Police say a gunman pepper-sprayed the startled shoppers yesterday -- after robbing an armored-car guard outside the store.
One shopper says the robber said, "Excuse me," pulled out a cylinder and started spraying a reddish fog into the air as he escaped.
The F-B-I is helping in the investigation in Burleson, about 40 miles southwest of Dallas.
