Dophins spotted in Sakonnet River
TIVERTON, R.I. (AP) -- A pod of dolphins has been spotted swimming in the Sakonnet River.
The Department of Environmental Management says itÔŅĹs an unusual sight because dophins are usually further north and swimming in colder waters this time of year.
Spectators have been gathering to take a peek as the dolphins play in the water. Some dolphins were even swimming alongside boats in the river.
The dolphins could stick around for a while longer. Officials say if they approach your boatÔŅĹdo not change your speed or make any sudden movements.
