Trophy tour goes to Lowell and Vermont

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) -- The Boston Red Sox World Series trophy tour heads north.

Team officials stop this afternoon in Lowell, home of the Red Sox�s short-season Single-A New York-Penn League affiliate, the Spinners.

Confirmed appearing today in Lowell is Red Sox Senior Vice President Larry Cancro.

Saturday, the trophy goes to Vermont.

Pitcher Bronson Arroyo will represent the World Champions during a free mid-morning rally at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.

The monthlong whirlwind tour has taken the trophy and various members of the ball club throughout New England, including stops in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
