Lowe not invited to local World Series celebration
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Derek Lowe says he�s disappointed that he wasn�t invited to a celebration next week at the Boston Red Sox spring training home in Fort Meyers.
A free agent who may depart the team this offseason, Lowe was the winning pitcher in all of Boston�s clinching victories this postseason.
Making the gaffe even more glaring: Lowe lives in Fort Myers.
Lowe says the team never called. The Red Sox initially said Lowe was �unavailable,� but a spokesman later said there was�quote -- �sort of a miscommunication.�
