BOSTON (AP) -- The World Series Champion Boston Red Sox will open the 2005 season in New York against the Yankees on April fourth.

The Red Sox made a historic comeback against the Yankees during this yearÔŅĹs American League Championship Series. After trailing three-games-to-nothing, Boston pulled off four straight wins to advance to the World Series.

They beat the St. Louis Cardinals in four games.

The Red Sox will open their home season on April eleventh against the Yankees. The team will also hoist their World Series banner above Fenway Park while their arch-rivals look on.

The teams also play each other to finish the regular season at Fenway Park September 30th through October second.

Other notable games include June tenth through the twelfth in Chicago. It will be BostonÔŅĹs first visit to Wrigley Field since the Red Sox played the Cubs in the 1918 Series.
