World Series trophy heads west
BOSTON (AP) -- The Red Sox are taking their World Series trophy to Worcester and Springfield next week.
After winning their first title in 86 years, team officials promised to visit fans throughout New England.
Players and Red Sox executives have already stopped in Providence, Hartford and New Haven.
Trot Nixon and Mike Timlin will attend a rally at Springfield City Hall on Monday morning. Later in the day, they�ll head to Worcester for another celebration.
