Red Sox decline option on RHP Curtis Leskanic
BOSTON (AP) -- The Red Sox have declined the one-point-two-five (m) million dollar option on pitcher Curtis Leskanic.
According to union sources familiar with the move, Leskanic gets a one-hundred-thuosand dollar buyout.
The right-hander was 3-and-2 with two saves and a three-point-five-eight ERA in 32 appearances for the Red Sox after being signed as a free agent on June 22nd.
He spent the early part of the season with the Kansas City Royals.
Leskanic didnÔŅĹt pitch in the World Series, but picked up the win in game four of the American League Championship Series, allowing one hit in one-and-one-third innings.
Overall, he gave up three hits and three walks while striking out two in two-and-two-third innings of the ALCS.
