Kerry overwhelming favorite in French poll
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

PARIS A new poll indicates that an overwhelming majority of French people hope John Kerry wins the presidential election.

Kerry gained the support of more than 70 percent of the one-thousand people surveyed.

President Bush got only eleven percent. The Louis Harris polling agency says most of those who are pro-Bush are supporters of the extreme right.

The survey finds that more than 80 percent of the French people who were surveyed felt Bush has made the world "more dangerous." Roughly three-quarters see a Kerry victory as better for France.

Conservative French newspaper Le Figaro published the poll in today's edition.
