Cranston fire gets $42,435 award for homeland security
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The Cranston Fire Department is getting a 42-thousand dollar Homeland Security grant.
The grant is one of more than a thousand grants announced this week to fire departments across the nation.
The money will be used for the Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety program.
