Clinton rallies Florida's Jewish voters
BOCA RATON, Fla. Bill Clinton has told Jewish voters in Florida they can be sure that John Kerry will protect their interests in Israel -- that Kerry's Senate record makes that clear. Addressing a group at a Boca Raton synagogue, the former president said there's no doubt of Kerry's "unshakeable" commitment to Israel.
And while not blaming President Bush for an increase in Mideast violence, Clinton said a strong U-S leader is needed so Israel can again find "a partner for peace."
With an estimated 500-thousand Jewish voters, Florida holds one of the nation's largest Jewish communities. The majority are concentrated in South Florida's Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
