Kerry may spend Election Night in Copley Square
BOSTON (AP) -- Aides to John Kerry say the Massachusetts Senator wants to finish his campaign for the White House in his hometown of Boston.
The Boston Globe reports that Kerry may hold an event on election night at Copley Square that could attract as many as 30-thousand people. An aide to Mayor Tom Menino said the Kerry camp has inquired about using the area, but no definite decision yet has been made.
The event would be staged outside the Boston Public Library, and could involve extensive security measures and a host of media.
Kerry is expected to return to Boston on Election Day November second after a 24-hour blitz of final campaigning.
