Technical problems subside at online payment service PayPal
SAN JOSE, Calif. The online payment service PayPal says it's been able to fix most of the technical problems that have plagued the company for the past five days. It says most members should be able to log on to the Web site now.
The technical glitch affected an untold number of users, making it hard for some online sellers to complete deals.
Some people were able to log in to the eBay-owned service while others could not. As a result, the company says the total number of affected users remained unclear.
PayPal is a common method of payment for buyers on eBay and is gaining in popularity among customers of other online retailers.
