Sports: Nelson rallies to win
SPRING, Texas Larry Nelson sank a five-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to beat Hale Irwin and win the Administaff Small Business Classic in Texas. Nelson forced a playoff after starting the final round seven shots back. He pulled even with Irwin by shooting an 8-under-par 64 today.
It's his second Champions Tour win of the year and 19th overall.
Peter Jacobsen fell out of the playoff hunt with a bogey on 18. He finished tied for third with Wayne Levi (LEH'-vee).
