LOS ANGELES "Shark Tale" remains the big fish at the box office.

The animated comedy held on to the number spot for a second weekend, taking in 31-point-seven (m) million dollars.

Billy Bob Thornton's high school football drama "Friday Night Lights" opened in second place, earning 20-point-six million dollars.

Another holdover, the firefighting drama "Ladder 49," was third, followed by the action comedy "Taxi" and "The Forgotten."

With the family audience almost to itself, "Shark Tale" has held up especially well, earning nearly 88 (m) million dollars in ten days.
