Settlement reached between customers and clerk over lottery ticket

BARNSTABLE, Mass. There's a settlement in a fight over a four (m) million dollar lottery ticket.

A clerk at a Massachusetts convenience store has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by customers who say they bought the winning scratch-off ticket in 2002. They say they accidentally gave it to the clerk because they didn't realize it was a winner.

The clerk, Julie Prive, has already collected the first three installments of 200-thousand dollars a year.

Now, she and her husband will pay undisclosed amounts to the customers.

In August, an eight-day trial ended in a hung jury.
