Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. There's a rash of laptop thefts at the University of Rhode Island.

Two computers were stolen last night from a student dormitory. Police report that ten have been stolen since classes began last month -- nearly all of them when students had stepped out of their rooms briefly.

A URI spokesman says students were leaving their doors open, and calls the robber, "opportunistic."
