Kerry to focus on jobs as he campaigns in three states
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

PITTSBURGH John Kerry is focusing on jobs as he campaigns in three battleground states this Labor Day holiday.

He begins outside Pittsburgh, where he'll once again stress the administration has created 900-thousand fewer jobs than it lost. He'll also say the new jobs don't pay as well as the ones that disappeared.

Kerry will take a similar message to a Labor Day picnic with coal miners in West Virginia and workers in Ohio.

Democrats are vowing an aggressive campaign until Election Day, which is eight weeks from tomorrow. They're blasting President Bush's claim that a Kerry administration would hinder the job-creating ability of some small businesses and business owners by raising taxes.

They say the president is using a misleading and very narrow definition of small business to make the claim.
