Department of Corrections to share offender information

CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) -- A new web-based database is making sharing offender information much easier.

The Rhode Island Department of Corrections is launching a new offender information databases for federal, state and local criminal justice agencies.

The Rhode Island D-O-C is one of the first criminal justice agencies in the state to share its offender information with outside law enforcement.

The database contains offendersďż˝ photos, physical descriptions, addresses and sentencing information.
