U-S Marines killed in heavy fighting in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq Two Marines are dead after separate clashes with insurgents west of Baghdad. The military says the two were killed in the Anbar province of Iraq, as several U-S camps in Ramadi reportedly came under mortar attacks yesterday. Two American helicopters made emergency landings after coming under small-arms fire but were able to return to base.
The deaths bring the total of U-S troops killed in Iraq to 908 since the war began.
