Peterson lawyer seeks mistrial or dismissal
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Scott Peterson's lawyer says the murder case against his client should be thrown out.

Mark Geragos (GEHR'-uh-gohs) says a police investigator committed perjury to prove Peterson killed his pregnant wife Laci.

The attorney wants the California judge to either dismiss the murder charges against Peterson or declare a mistrial.

Two previous mistrial requests have been denied, but the judge has called a special hearing today on this latest motion and may rule after that.
