Club Fire Tragedy: One Year Later
Derderians release statement on the anniversary of the fire
(Providence-AP) -- The owners of The Station nightclub have released a statement on the anniversary of the deadly fire in West Warwick.
Brothers Jeffrey and Michael Derderian say they want to mark this day by sending their heartfelt prayers and condolences to all the fire victims and families.
They also say they hope that those affected by the fire a year ago will one day experience true healing.
They also thank those who have supported them over the past year.
And they thank the police, fire and other rescuers who responded to the fire.
The brothers each face 200 charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fire that killed 100 people.
A former tour manager for the band whose pyrotechnics sparked the blaze is also facing criminal charges.
