A video player for kids
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

Undated-AP -- Now the grown-ups don't have to be the only ones to have their own video player.

Hasbro is targeting the "Tweens", kids between nine and 12 with VIDEONOW.

There's nothing to download or install.

It's a very small devise that plays videos.

D-V-D's won't fit in VIDEONOW.

They accept only VIDEONOW discs, which are smaller and contain about a half hour worth of material.

The discs include a lot of programs from Nickleodeon, like SpongeBob SquarePants and the Rugrats, as well as material from American Idol.

The screen is very small and it's a black and white picture.

Hasbro says that was done to make VIDEONOW affordable.

Suggested retail price is about 50 dollars.

VIDEONOW accessories include headphones, a carrying case and a light.
