Bruins no longer in first place
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

(Boston-AP) -- The Bruins have only won victory to show for their last six games, and for the first time since early in the seasonthey no longer occupy first place in the NHLs Northeast Division.

That honor belongs to the Toronto Maple Leafs, who lead the Bruins by one point after beating the New York Rangers Sunday night while Boston was settling for a 3-to-3 tie at home against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Shane Doan scored the tying goal for the Coyotes off Felix Potvin with just 68 seconds left in regulation.

Travis Green, Patrice Bergeron and Glen Murray scored the Boston goals.

The Bruins will be back in action tomorrow night, when they face the Thrashers in Atlanta.
