Brown University to arm its police officers

Brown University has decided to arm its police officers.
The decision follows two years ot discussions with students, staff and others. It will be at least another year before the campus police are armed.
Brown President Ruth Simmons says the move will improve safety on campus.
The university�s police officers will undergo training before carrying weapons.
