Massive Power Outage Causes Major Problems
Power - and order - have both been restored in the city of New Bedford at this hour. This - after residents in the whaling city and much of southeastern Massachusetts spent much of the evening last night in the dark. The outage also prompted vandalism, looting and chaos broke out in New Bedford streets. It all started when a small fire ignited at a power plant in Sandwich, located on Cape Cod.
