The rush to get home is on
Reagan National Airport, Arlington, Virginia-AP -- The rush is on -- in the skies, and on the rails and roads. A Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman calls it "the great return" -- as (m) millions head home after the holiday weekend.
The lines are long at Reagan National Airport outside the nation's capital. But the T-S-A says that's to be expected. And spokeswoman Chris Rhatigan (RAT'-ih-gihn) says travelers are still waiting much less than they would be in holiday lines at the mall.
Rhatigan says the key for air travelers is to get to the airport early and follow their airlines' advice.
On the roads, Triple-A had said it expected about 36 (m) million people to head 50 miles or more from home this weekend.
