Controversy over who is building the new Kent County courthouse
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

(Warwick-AP) -- A construction industry lobbying group says a prohibition against nonunion workers in the Kent County courthouse project could raise taxpayers' costs.

The Associated Builders and Contractors says a project labor agreement makes nonunion contractors, subcontractors and their employees ineligible to work on the Warwick project.

The group says reduced competition will drive up project costs.
