Gun discovered at Mount Hope High School-Video

(Narragansett-AP) -- A 17-year-old graduate of Narragansett High School died early yesterday in an automobile accident in South Kingstown.

Aubrey Scotts death was reported to students at the school.

Police are not confirming her identity pending an autopsy.

Police say the driver of a 1990 Honda had been traveling south when the car left the road, struck a tree and caught fire.

Students observed a moment of silence after hearing the announcement. Guidance counselors were made available as well, reports The Providence Journal.

Aubrey was a former honors student and cheerleader at Narragansett High School. She graduated this past year.
