A Mighty Wind on D-V-D
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

Undated-AP -- New on D-V-D is the latest crazy collaboration from Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy.

It's called "A Mighty Wind."

It's the story of a reunion of three legendary folk music groups.

Guest plays a member of "The Folksmen," Levy is half of the duo of "Mitch and Mickey." The other group is "The New Main Street Singers."

The groups are reunited for a concert in memory of their former manager.

The movie has a lot of the same cast members from Guest and Levy's previous movie, "Best in Show."

Just like in "Best in Show," Fred Willard steals most of the scenes he is in. In "Mighty Wind," he plays the new manager of "The New Main Street Singers," a former child T-V star.

If you didn't know better, you'd swear the songs in the show are folk music classics.

"A Mighty Wind" also stars Catherine O'Hara, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer and Parker Posey.
