A smaller camcorder
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

Undated-AP -- As the technology grows, the products are shrinking.

Panasonic is claiming it has the smallest camcorder -- the S-V A-V 100. It can record D-V-D-quality video on a removable flash memory card.

Other digital camcorders may rival the gadget in size or recording quality, but none has yet achieved both feats. The camcorder is about the size of a credit card.

The S-V A-V 100 can store up to 20 minutes of D-V-D-quality video, or three and a half hours of standard M-P-E-G four video -- a format designed for Internet or e-mail use. Memory cards with more capacity are available separately.

The S-V A-V 100 is part of Panasonic's new SNAP line of portable cameras.

Suggested retail price is 999 dollars.
