Providence, RI(AP)

A 23-year-old Providence man is being held on 100-thousand dollars cash bail for allegedly stabbing two boys as they played in a back yard.

Nelson Blanco was arraigned this morning in Providence District Court. He allegedly stabbed the two seven-year-olds on Saturday. Police say there is no apparent motive. One of the boys remains at Hasbro Children's Hospital today. He is listed in fair condition. The other victim pictured here was released from the hospital yesterday. Police call the attack a senseless and random act of violence on two innocent children.
