Dell is expanding
Round Rock, Texas-AP -- There's a new chapter in the life of computer giant Dell. It is branching out into the consumer electronics business.
Dell has unveiled several new products, including a digital music player, an online music service, and a flat-panel t-v.
Chairman and c-e-o Michael Dell says it gives the company "another opportunity to revolutionize these products on behalf of our customers."
Dell says consumers have made it clear they want something they're not getting -- and that's the "Dell value."
Dell says the products will be released this fall and available in the United States in time for the holidays.
But he isn't revealing how much the products will cost.
