Police investigating the removal of two crosses from the nightclub fire site
(West Warwick-AP) -- Police are investigating the removal of two crosses from the site of the nightclub fire inWest Warwick.
Jody King, an officer of The Station Family Fund, says the crosses that were removed were for Great White guitarist Ty Longley. He has filed a police report.
Police confirmed that a report was filed yesterday morning.
The fire started on February 20th after Great White set off pyrotechnics during a performance. One hundred people died, including Longley.
A replacement cross for Longley was put at the site Sunday. It�s in the shape of a guitar, and is rooted in cement.
Longley�s original cross was made by his father and girlfriend.
They were shipped to King, who put them at the site.
