Eyewitness News debuts Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

With hurricane Isabel approaching the east coast, you want to know the latest weather information.  Eyewitness News understands that and we have the six minute advantage..  Eyewitness News Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar.

Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar is the only live radar on television in Southern New England.   Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar is the only radar owned by a local television station.  The radar sends out a beam that is constantly scanning the skies looking for any precipitation and high winds.   While everyone has doppler radar, only Eyewitness News Live Pinpoint Doppler is REALTIME, there are no delays in getting you vital severe weather information.  Other television stations in our area give you radar data that's six to 12 minutes old, but only Eyewitness News brings you Live radar in realtime down to your street.

Eyewitness News Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar is the fourth doppler radar built for a television station in New England.   It can see precipitation from hundreds of miles away.  Also, only Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar has triple doppler.  This allows Eyewitness News to show three different live radars at the same time.  Those dopplers are located here,  Springfield, MA and New Haven, CT.   This network of live dopplers allows us to see storms up close well before they strike Rhode Island or Southern New England.

Eyewitness News Live Pinpoint Doppler Radar, is Weather Coverage You Can Count On.
