Graham calls for release
Capitol Hill-AP -- The man who co-chaired a congressional inquiry into nine-eleven suggests the Bush administration is playing politics. Senator Bob Graham is calling on President Bush to declassify a section of the congressional report into the attacks. The section deals with foreign support for the hijackers, most of whom came from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi foreign minister is in Washington for talks with Bush. Earlier, the Saudi ambassador to the U-S said his country has nothing to hide.
Graham tells A-B-C's "Good Morning America" he thinks much of the report is being withheld for "political reasons." He says a key reason would be -- quote -- "not to disturb the relationship between the United States and some foreign countries."
Graham says Saudi Arabia and the United States would be better served if they knew -- quote -- "the full extent of a foreign government's involvement in the events before nine-eleven."
