Bush and family take turns on Segway scooters
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

Kennebunkport, Maine-AP -- President Bush and his family all took turns with a high-tech toy yesterday -- with the president having a bit of trouble.

Bush boarded a Segway scooter during a visit to his family's estate in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The Segway went down on Bush's first attempt, but he stayed on his feet with a flying leap over the machine. Undeterred, he got on again.

His father, former President Bush, climbed on a second Segway and cruised around the driveway. The president's twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara, and former first lady Barbara Bush, also took turns.

Segways are stand-up, motorized scooters that resemble push lawnmowers.
