St. Louis-AP -- Miguel Cairo collected three hits and Edgar Renteria hit a two-run double as St. Louis downed Toronto 8-to-5.

Cairo was in an 0-for-18 slump before helping the Cardinals pick up their third straight win. He also had an R-B-I grounder and scored twice.

Tino Martinez and Mike Matheny sprayed back-to-back triples in the sixth to chase Blue Jays starter Cory Lidle (LY'-dul).

Jason Simontacchi (sy-min-TAH'-chee) evened his mark at 3-and-3 despite yielding five runs and ten hits in five innings. Lidle sank to 8-and-4.

Carlos Delgado banged out his 17th homer and Reed Johnson hit a two-run shot for the Blue Jays. Orlando Hudson added three hits, including a two-run single.
