Philadelphia-AP -- John Olerud had four R-B-I's and Seattle stretched its winning streak to eight straight by whipping Philadelphia 7-to-2.

Olerud provided a sacrifice fly, a two-run double and a run-scoring double. Randy Winn and Ben Davis also had sacrifice flies as the Mariners improved to a major league-leading 39-and-18.

Ichiro Suzuki went 4-for-5 and Bret Boone ran his hitting streak to ten games.

Gil Meche (mehsh) pitched the Mariners to their 12th consecutive road win, allowing two runs and five hits in six innings. Four relievers combined to throw four hitless innings, helping Meche improve to 8-and-2.

Vicente Padilla (pah-DEE'-uh) dropped to 4-and-7, giving up seven runs and ten hits in six-plus innings.
