Devil Rays 5 Cubs 2
Chicago-AP -- Sammy Sosa had cork in his bat one night, and holes in the bat the next. Sosa struck out his first three at-bats before singling in the Chicago Cubs' 5-to-2 loss to Tampa Bay. The Cubs outfielder was back in the starting lineup, one night after being ejected in the first inning for using a corked bat. A majority of the crowd at Wrigley Field gave him a nice ovation as he took the field tonight.
Sosa is 3-for-20 in five games since coming off the disabled list last week.
Carl Crawford hit a two-run single for the second straight night to give the Devil Rays a 4-to-0 lead in the third. Aubrey Huff added four hits and an R-B-I while rookie Rocco Baldelli went 3-for-5 to raise his average to .336.
Victor Zambrano fired a three-hitter while allowing just one run in seven innings. He's 2-and-3.
Shawn Estes dipped to 5-and-5, yielding four earned runs and eight hits in seven frames.
