Miami-AP -- Oakland coughed up a 5-to-1 lead before Scott Hatteberg's R-B-I single in the eighth lifted the Athletics past Florida 6-to-5.

The A's grabbed a four-run lead when Hatteberg drew a bases-loaded walk in the fourth. But the Marlins eventually tied the game on Luis Castillo's run-scoring single in the seventh.

Eric Chavez and Ramon Hernandez each had two hits and scored twice as the Athletics rebounded from Tuesday's 13-to-2 loss to the Marlins.

Chad Bradford worked out of a seventh-inning jam to move to 4-and-3. Keith Foulke threw a hitless ninth for his 15th save.

Tim Spooneybarger slipped to 1-and-2.
