St. Louis-AP -- Jim Edmonds, Edgar Renteria and Tino Martinez highlighted the offense as St. Louis slammed Toronto 11-to-5.

The Cardinals were clinging to a 5-to-4 lead until Edmonds hit a two-run homer in a four-run seventh. Edmonds had been in an 0-for-15 slump before hitting his 12th homer.

Renteria and Martinez drove in three runs apiece as the Cardinals improved to 4-and-4 on their 13-game homestand. Scott Rolen added three hits and scored three times to help the Cards halt the Blue Jays' three-game winning streak.

Matt Morris won his third straight decision to improve to 7-and-3. Morris gave up four runs and nine hits in seven frames.

Kelvim Escobar allowed four earned runs and six hits in six innings to slip to 2-and-3.
