Atlanta-AP -- Andruw Jones socked a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth as Atlanta pulled out a 6-to-5 win over Texas.

Jones came off the bench and hit an oh-two pitch for his 14th homer of the season. He didn't start because of shoulder and knee injuries, and was just 2-for-27 lifetime as a pinch-hitter.

Henry Blanco hit a two-run double and Chipper Jones went 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the winners.

The Rangers lost despite building a 4-to-0 lead by the second inning. Juan Gonzalez smacked a three-run homer in the first and Mark Teixeira (teh-SHEHR'-uh) added a solo shot an inning later.

Kevin Gryboski retired two hitters in the eighth to move to 4-and-3. John Smoltz picked up his 21st save with a scoreless ninth.

Ugueth Urbina (OO'-get ur-BEE'-nuh) served up Jones' homer and dropped to 0-and-2.
