A vandalized flag is back in the hands of its rightful owner tonight. Last week, vandals wrote the word "lies" on Russell Thompson's American flag. A few days later, it was missing from the Rehoboth intersection where it was proudly displayed. It was later discovered members of the Massachusetts National Guard took down the flag when they spotted the graffiti. They returned it today. This isn't the first time one of Thompson's flags has been vandalized. Last fall, someone burned two of his flags. The culprit was never caught.
