Thomas Coderre Apologizes
Former Rhode Island state Senator Thomas Coderre apologized to his family and friends today. He made his statement as he prepared to enter a residential drug treatment program. Coderre says he is embracing this chance to put his life back together and he apologized for bringing shame to his
family and friends.
Coderre agreed to enter a residential treatment facility to begin the second phase of his treatment. His case is being continued until he completes the treatment program.
Also as part of his continued legal proceedings, the 33-year-old Pawtucket Democrat appeared before District Court Judge Albert DeRobbio today. Coderre was arrested in April on a charge of cocaine possession.
